Content guidelines
What belongs here, what doesn’t, and how we handle problems.
Last updated: August 11, 2026
Local Brat Fry is for real community brat fry fundraisers (and similar local fundraiser food events). These guidelines help keep the directory useful and trustworthy.
What belongs
- Brat fries and similar community fundraiser food events people can actually attend.
- Listings from organizers or community tips — as long as the affiliation question is answered honestly.
- Accurate title, organization, venue, address, date, times, timezone, and map pin.
Be honest
- Use the correct date, place, and organization.
- Mark whether you are affiliated with the fry or submitting a community tip.
- If plans change or the event is cancelled, update or cancel the listing promptly.
Not allowed
- Spam, scams, phishing, or fake events
- Hate, harassment, illegal activity, or adult content
- Impersonation or listing an organization/venue without a reasonable basis
- Commercial ads unrelated to a real fundraiser fry
- Stolen photos, or logos/images you do not have rights to use (when photo uploads are available — keep uploads family-friendly)
How review works
- Newer submitters usually go through approval before a listing goes live.
- After enough approved listings (and with a clean report history), trusted submitters can publish more directly.
- Listings that break these guidelines can be rejected or removed.
- Repeated rejects can lead to losing the ability to submit.
Reporting problems
If something is wrong, cancelled, spam, or inappropriate, use Report an issue on the listing page, or email [email protected]. Common reasons: wrong details, cancelled/never happened, spam/inappropriate, or other.
